Our History

Founded as a patient first company

Handi Medical was founded in 1988 by Mary Benhardus, along with a team of health professionals in the medical devices field. They sought to provide quality, affordable medical supplies and rehabilitation equipment to clinics and hospitals across the country.
The founding team at Handi Medical used their wealth of expertise to build relationships with top manufacturers and secure reliable distribution channels. The company started out selling basic medical consumables, IV equipment and bandaging products to small regional hospitals and physicians' offices.
