Community Involvement
Handi medical staff provide volunteer hours each week at this free clinic serving uninsured patients. They assist with intake and screenings, non-emergency treatment for issues like colds/flu, minor injuries, diabetes management etc.
Children's Health Outreach
Handi has partnered with this organization bringing health education and preventative care to underserved schools and community centers. Our nurses give presentations on topics like nutrition, hygiene, mental health awareness, and lead activities.
Meals with Heart
We collaborate with Meals with Heart, a nonprofit providing nutritious meals to people experiencing homelessness and food insecurity. Handi dietitians and nutritionists consult on meal planning and options for improving nutrition. We also assist them with securing donations of fresh produce.
Home Care Assistance Program
Our home care aids and nurses donate time to provide in-home personal care, medication management, wound care and other basic medical services for qualifying elderly, disabled and low-income patients in our community.
Community Health Fair
Each year dozens of Handi medical professionals volunteer at the yearly Community Health Fair providing free health screenings and information on resources in our area. We focus on checks for vision, glucose levels, blood pressure, skin cancer and more
